Guided by the UBC Okanagan Campus Plan, the Campus Land Use and Public Realm Planning supports the University’s strategic vision and provides the framework for evaluating physical changes.

CAMPUS DESIGN GUIDELINES

The Guidelines are mandatory for designing all future facilities, spaces, lighting, and landscapes on campus.

EXTERIOR SIGNAGE STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES

A comprehensive document for all exterior signage at UBC and is managed by Campus and Community Planning.

WEST CAMPUS LANDS CONCEPTUAL STRUCTURE PLAN

The WCL provides planning principles and a land use framework to guide near- and long-term development on UBCO’s West Campus Lands.

INNOVATION PRECINCT STRUCTURE PLAN

The IPSP sets out a vision, physical framework, and urban design guidelines to guide the creation of innovation and research spaces and facilities on the University’s Innovation Precinct lands.

WILDLAND FIRE MANAGEMENT PLAN

The WFM was developed to comply with Kelowna’s Official Community Plan and rezoning requirements. The report assesses wildfire risks and offers recommendations and tools to mitigate them.

PUBLIC REALM PLAN

The Public Realm Plan aims to realize the Campus Plan’s vision by creating a network of attractive outdoor spaces and pedestrian pathways that foster learning, social interaction, relaxation, and exchange.

UTILITY CORRIDOR STRATEGY

The Utility Corridor Strategy identifies the locations of existing and future infrastructure (water, sewer, gas, etc.) on campus. It supports orderly infrastructure development in line with the Campus Plan.

MULTI-PURPOSE UTILITY CORRIDOR STRATEGY TO 2020

The Multi-Purpose Utility Corridor Strategy was developed to inform the Utility Corridor Plan and should be referenced in tandem with the Campus Plan.
