Driving
UBC Okanagan is committed to creating a campus with reduced reliance on single-occupancy vehicles. Through various initiatives, we aim to enhance the transportation experience to, from, and around campus, promoting more sustainable and efficient modes of travel.
Pick-up / Drop Off
Please avoid stopping in active travel lanes and bike lanes, which could create unsafe situations for people walking and biking, and instead use designated drop off spaces.
Carpooling
Carpooling is an easy way to save money, reduce your environmental impact, and ease commuting stress. It also helps cut traffic congestion and allows access to HOV lanes.
Ride-Hailing
Ride-hailing services are a convenient alternative to driving, especially on weekends and evenings when transit is limited, and enhances safety.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Level 2 EV charging stations with J Plug (J1772 connectors) are available, identifiable by blue or white stations, signage, and painted EV markings.
Parking
A variety of on-campus parking options are available to suit different needs and preferences, with locations offering both daily and hourly rates.
